Today, many Americans will be celebrating Independence Day as usual. Cook-outs, swimming pools, families spending time together, with American flags flying and a pre-burger prayer for those that have, and are, serving in the military. That’s great. The problem is that there will also be hordes of hateful and ignorant citizens of the United States crapping all over the country they inhabit and those who do not feel the same way they do…….and they are horrible and ignorant people who are beyond salvation.

Sorry. I know that on a day like July 4th, many want to have a good time and forget their troubles while cracking a few beers and scarfing down some over-cooked meat. Sure, I like that too, and in past 4ths, that’s exactly what has happened. This year, though, a deep and dark undercurrent of evil, and I’m not being hyperbolic, is running through our society and culture. You know what they look like, they wear “pussy hats” and they carry pre-made signs calling you a Nazi – while behaving like Nazi’s – calling for the abolishment of ICE, national borders and sovereignty, and equality of result instead of opportunity. In fact, they are calling for the end of “whiteness” whatever that is, as well as the end of capitalism and American culture. And you better not be black and a patriot either….I’m not even going to print the slurs these hateful folks have for African-Americans who have left the Progressive Plantation, as I’m sure you can guess them. Hell, they even want an end to science and facts like those related to gender and climate. In truth….if I were to list the many angry causes of America’s Progressives this essay would run on into infinity.

America is under pressure from its own “Brownshirts”…..and if they see you with a “Make America Great Again” hat, or a Trump shirt, proudly flying the American flag, working for the Trump administration or even publishing a blog like this one: Get ready to be thrown out of restaurants, thrown out of bars, have spit and feces put in your food, lose your job, and for good measure, get violently assaulted. For some reason, the political minority are emboldened to become monsters in service of their hateful ideology, when most can’t explain that ideology or rationally justify it. I personally know extremely wealthy, white liberals – whom are the ultimate beneficiaries of class privilege by the way – that own and control multimillion dollar companies yet advocate for socialism/communism and mob tyranny. These folks will have a solemn 4th of July today……busily bemoaning all of the lost rights and great hardships they have encountered and endured since November of 2016.

The Cult of The Progressive Left has moved into the “Jim Jones” phase. From “peace and love” to “drink the Kool-Aid and lie down”. If you love your country and the freedoms it has given us, they hate you. If you believe things are actually going well by most metrics……less taxes, more world peace, more people with jobs……they hate you. If you didn’t support Hillary Clinton…..they hate you. If you don’t do what they tell you, even though they have bullied and shouted you down…….yep, they hate you.

It would be nice if there was anything that would appease this awful and vocal minority of the population, but there isn’t. So, enjoy the 4th. Honor those that have fallen in defense of our individual liberty. Say a thankful prayer for the wisdom of those that founded this the greatest nation on Earth…..and for their resolution to declare their Independence from monarchial tyranny, for our benefit. Then start finding the strength to confront and squash out the enemies within, because they are legion…..and they don’t want to stand for the American flag and honor its history, or even have an America at all. It took a bloody war to make our Independence Day mean something…..and it may take another one for it to continue to. Happy Independence Day.
