The Thousand Pound Straw

Most of us have heard the phrase, ” the straw that broke the camel’s back”, right? It’s an adage that has been used for millennia to describe “a seemingly small or inconsequential issue, problem, or burden that proves to be the final catalyst in causing an overworked or overburdened person, system, organization, etc., to fail, give up, or collapse.”*. Well, if President Trump’s comments about gun confiscation come to legal fruition, then he has placed a thousand-pound straw on We The People’s backs.

It was reported in 2016 that Trump famously claimed that he could “shoot somebody…..and I wouldn’t lose votes..”. Since I am not a leftist, and therefore in possession of a sense of humor, I took that comment in stride, laughed, and moved on. I’ve done that with a lot of the more inane comments coming from the POTUS, as I think it important, and helpful, to hear directly from the Commander-in-Chief, especially in this crazy climate of irrational hate and “resistance”. I am not one of these people who talk about “comportment”, and being “statesmanlike”, as I don’t know what that means…..because those in government whom have supposedly possessed these traits have run the United States into the ground, and were private reprobates. Being aware of this fact has led me to allow Trump much leeway with his comments and behavior, because his policies have been mostly spot-on. Besides, with the incessant attacks on Trump it has been impossible to do much serious analysis about policy……instead it’s defending against irrational garbage like “white supremacy” and “fitness for office”. I usually prefer to give Trump the benefit of the doubt, as I realize it must be extremely taxing to have 90+ percent negative 24/7 press coverage, all while the establishment tries to destroy you and your entire family.

With all of that said, though…….the President’s comment that ” first we take the guns……then we do due process later…” is indicative of either a disconnect with who elected him, or of a desire to “do something” about guns when we should “do something” about our kids and the parenting strategies employed in their rearing. I get it, everyone is all in a tizzy about school shootings and AR-15’s…….because we have become a shallow, reactionary society. I’ve heard all about violent video games and music and blah, blah, blah…….when the actual root cause of our problems is failed parents, failed schools, failed curriculum, failed leaders and institutions, and sadly……failed and damaged young people for whom I do not hold out much hope for.

Western Civilization is being overrun by children. Not just by literal children, but by petulant, emotional children whom are inhabiting adult bodies. I don’t mean people, like me, who can be immature and impatient, or may make uncouth statements…….I mean people whose response to every single issue or event is governed by irrational, unthinking, emotion. Whether its “gender identity”, gun control, or railing against the supposed “patriarchy”, there aren’t many critically thinking adults involved.  All modern universities offer is the ability to dress up the ideas of idiots in fancy language. Rampant ignorance about human nature and actual history are the rules of the day. Maybe that’s why when I see a bunch of high-school kids telling me what rights I can or can’t enjoy, regardless of the traumatic events they went through ( How would we ever win WW2 today? Those were drafted “kids”, after all ) I tend to have a negative reaction.

My advice to the President is this: Stop listening to progressives and schoolchildren for your solutions to what is a societal parenting and education problem. We don’t need “gun control”, as there is less access to guns now than in the past……..we need “loser control”. If law enforcement wasn’t populated by politicians like Sheriff Israel in Parkland, FL. – and our bureaucratic systems weren’t bogged down with incompetent, unelected leftists that are impossible to fire, maybe we could trust a system that could identify nuts like the school shooter and the Republican baseball practice shooter before they act……but we don’t have that. We have a United States where half of the population is mindlessly ignorant and childlike, that demands virtue-signaling, dumb responses to tragedies, and a Justice Department dedicated to overthrowing an election and not preventing crime. Worse, we have a significant percentage of people who do not understand where our Rights come from. The Constitution tells the government what Rights we were given at birth by our Creator – whom or whatever you think that is – that cannot be taken away by that government. The Right to Bear Arms was not granted by our founding documents, just recognized by them. I would advise President Trump to keep that in mind when pontificating pandering to his enemies over defense of our Rights………as he cannot take away what God has given, and to try would be disastrous folly.

Wisdom Or We’s Dumb?

Out of respect for the families and victims of the Florida school shooting, I have not commented on the events of that day. After witnessing the disgusting displays of naked propaganda at the CNN “town hall” event however, the time for silence is over. Warning……I will not be handing out sympathy and understanding for the gross, scripted, and horrid statements made by some of the survivors and their newly found politician friends. The poor kids that survived this ordeal, and whom will deal with awful mental trauma, of course deserve empathy……but that sentiment quickly fades when some of those kids, and the parents that they are poorly served by, become useful idiots in service of a cynical political agenda.  The previous week has been filled with adolescent vitriol and immature, arrogant posturing, and I’m left with the realization that those pushing the progressive agenda are at best ignorant, and at worst………really, really, dumb. Where are the adults in any debate currently going on in the United States?

I really do hate to say any of this. It would be nice if the never-ending tantrum that has overtaken what used to be the “left” would stop, but since November 2016 the childish fits and machinations have grown ever-more-intense. It’s become very obvious that the “resistance” is to everything……and those participating in it can be broken down into two groups – clueless servants and their knowing masters. Sadly, the reaction to the most recent school shooting is further demonstrating this fact. All due respect, really…….but what thinking, adult parent would speak about gun control policy at a CNN propaganda event just days after losing a child? What thinking, adult parent would allow their child……whom had just survived and/or been involved in a school shooting……to speak politically and arrogantly at such an event? This whole debacle is indicative of a larger trend that has been gaining steam over the past decade, and we are witnessing the culmination of it. It’s the “kids are wise, innocent, and have the solutions to society’s most important issues” philosophy……..and it means doom.

In case you didn’t know, kids aren’t “wise”. Nor are they particularly smart. Sure, those of us who have kids love them and think they’re the greatest……but regardless of whether they have an 80 IQ or a 180 IQ, they are unformed, and incomplete, human beings. The failed and disastrous “self-esteem based” parenting strategies of the past 20 years are bearing fruit, and it’s rotten. What many people forget is that it’s not just the kids……it’s their parents. The parents whom have bought into this toxic and suicidal philosophy are responsible for the greatest failure – of educating and creating productive members of society – that has ever been known. The appalling stupidity of the modern American high school student is profound, and it can be singularly blamed on the decision to teach “self-esteem” and “activism” instead of critical thinking. The boring, yet productive, method of teaching facts, mathematics, and history have been replaced by instructing “victimhood” and entitlement…….and it’s not working.

The parent that mindlessly sends their kid off to public school expecting them to be protected and educated – without their input, concern, or involvement – is part of the problem. Another part of the problem is a school system mostly devoid of any ethical standards, discipline, morality, or even classical instruction. Activist schools hiring activist teachers only make activist students…….so why is anyone surprised at what we’re seeing? The question then becomes, “Why the instant, and crass, move to use this shooting as a knee-jerk motive for destroying the 2nd Amendment?”. Because the progressive left has no shame, and frankly, neither do some of these kids and their parents. The simple fact that until you’re out of your teens your brain is physically incapable of good decision-making is evidently lost on those calling for us to “listen to the kids”. Besides, as long as the U.S. globally ranks 17th in education and 2nd in social ignorance, I’d say it’s the “kids” that need to do more listening.

The police knew of the shooter, and had been called to his residence 39 times in the previous year. The FBI had been made aware of his online threats to become a “professional school shooter”. People knew he was screwed up, gathering weapons and behaving maliciously. The school knew of his problems, as he was expelled……with written communications directing officials to not allow him onto school property “with a backpack”. Is it the fault of an inanimate object that no one did their job, including the school’s armed Resource Officer, who cowered outside? Were any of the shooter’s fellow students part of a bullying problem, if so do they bear part of the blame? Banning guns will never happen in the United States, so what’s the goal and ultimate aim? What compromise or solution do these newly-minted Parkland Shooting Activists propose, or is it just an excuse to shout at the NRA and 2nd Amendment proponents? Is it the fault of violent video games, or the parents that allowed their kid to have access to them? Before you say I’m not willing to compromise on a possible solution, I’ll agree to the following: raise the age of purchasing a weapon to twenty-one years old……….and at the same time raise the voting age to the same.  Deal? I mean, it’s all about protecting the “kids”, right?

The Land Of The Lost

When I started writing this column a few years ago, I had an earnest hope that with logic and wit I could open the eyes and minds of the most ignorant among us. The problem I have discovered is that those I have been attempting to engage have neither logic nor wit. It’s infuriating, really. Oddly, my anger and frustration at Progs that I don’t personally know is turning into a kind of pitied sadness and boredom……..while my pity and tolerance for the Progressives I DO personally know is turning into angry frustration and apathy.

Well, I’m tired of giving to Lefties what they are incapable of giving to anyone else, namely a polite benefit-of-the-doubt…….and you should be too. I think maybe it’s best, in all honesty. Why have the demonstrably stupid philosophies of the college campus, the corporate “diversity” industry, and millennial groupthink infected every aspect of our society and discourse? I’ll tell you why……….because lefty progressives are shameless and loud in their stupidity. They are not quiet, respectful, and looking to debate their ideas on level ground. They actually believe they have the “right” to be as intolerant, ignorant, racist, and violent as they can be……because of all the “injustice” they have been brainwashed into thinking exists.

The defense of these under-developed and damaged people is that words and ideas they don’t agree with, or find offensive, are equal to violence and intolerance, and violence and intolerance require actions of elevated violence and intolerance as a response. See how that works? Kind of like saying, “punch a Nazi”, and then labeling everyone you don’t agree with as a “Nazi” and proceeding to punch them. Voila! Social Justice in action! If they say something that is offensive, rude, stupid, and not backed up by history and logic…….it’s ok because they (in their depression-med/ADHD-med shriveled brains) hold the moral high ground. Yet if you happen to mildly offend one of these creatures, a public apology and prostrate position are required.

  Even asking a question of one of these folks, or asking for details on one of their ridiculous positions sends them into a rage of stuttering, flop-sweated retorts of “racist!”, “bully!”, or the worst thing they can think of to say……”privileged white man!”. The problem is that I do have questions for the Progressives and I can’t get them answered. Questions like:

 If you hate corporations and find them to be the root of all evil, why are you in total, mindless support of the three biggest, monopolistic corporate entities on the planet…………namely Apple, Facebook, and the United States Bureaucratic Government? All three of these evil corporations are the epitome of control-without-competition and greed……..yet what is in your pocket, what is your homepage, and who is it you are wanting to control every aspect of your – and in turn everyone else’s – life?

If you are against racism, whether individual or systematic, how can you possibly embrace concepts like “affirmative-action”, “white privilege”, “black lives matter”, “diversity”, and “unconscious bias”? Have you heard of the concept of “two wrongs don’t make a right”?  Are you aware of the hypocrisy of lumping all white people into a group that all thinks the same, votes the same, wants the same, and all have been a wrongful beneficiary of an unconscious racism whether they know it or not? How do you justify attempting to enforce your racism and prejudice by claiming it is a response to existing racism and prejudice?

  If you are horrified and moved to action to remove the right to keep and bear arms because of horrible things like the Vegas Massacre……….where is your outrage at inner-city violence and murder committed by criminals with guns – illegal guns – on a daily/weekly/monthly basis in places like Chicago? Can you explain how removing the weapons from law-abiding citizens would stop these awful events? Can you see the danger in only allowing the Government to possess weapons? Are you aware that when you cite countries like Australia for gun control, they have a population of 22 million people – not almost 400 million like the United States? Do you know that giving me “gun violence statistics” from places like Australia without adjusting for population is ignorant? Do you know that out of the around 32,000 gun deaths in the U.S. every year, roughly 22,000 are suicides – about 1000 more are accidental – and the leftovers are the real number?

I honestly think the dissolution of our society is real, rapid, and perhaps not reversible. I know that it is if those that don’t agree with the Progressive Lunacy remain quiet and tolerant. Sane people are losing the cultural war, big time. The reason is simple……the left is united in its suicidal quest to tear down everything “America” because they hate it……and they hate it because they have been taught to by mindless morons in public education.  Instead of knowing that this country is the greatest experiment in human liberty and freedom, some are intent on an all-or-nothing focus on it’s imperfections…….when nothing and no one can survive that kind of viewpoint. I truly wish that more people would understand their own history, heritage, and culture instead of burning it down in the name of their perceived grievance. I also wish that the lefties I know, whom are either wealthy and connected  (though all the wealthy people I know like to delude themselves that they are “middle class”) or brainwashed and lower-income – would ask themselves whose pawns they are and why…….and just what it is they plan on replacing our society with after they have destroyed it. Enforced Government equality – at the point of a gun by the way, or did you not know that’s where Government power comes from? –  of thought, results, gender, sex, perception, ideas, possessions, wealth, and status………or else. A nightmare Land of The Lost.

How To Make A Monster

How do you make a monster? You twist their mind and heart with hate and anger. You politicize everything in terms that inflame damaged people with weak minds. You fill their heads with psychobabble that reinforces their ill-formed and ignorant notions about the nature of the world. You create an echo chamber of approving and nudging rhetoric that repeats each and every day. You convince and reassure them that their neurosis is morally right and good, and that those who oppose them must be stopped by any means necessary. Next you identify those that are to be the enemy as sub-human, and relate them to familiar boogeymen like Nazis and race supremacists. All that’s left to do is start ratcheting up the rage and hate with ever-increasing ferocity. Now you’ve created a tool for morally justified violence.

I’ve seen and read a lot of things since the election that occurred almost a year ago (yes it’s been that long) that meet the criteria I just outlined. I’ve seen a lot of people become completely unhinged by the insidious propaganda of the progressive left.  A literal army of ignorant zombies intent on violence, assured of their moral superiority, and without a compass to guide them. I bet you’ve seen and heard them too, as they are everywhere. They put things on Facebook and Twitter calling people bigots, racists, etc. They wear p*ssy hats and put on American flag hijabs. They mock Christianity while apologizing for Islam.  They kneel during the National Anthem. They hate people with abject racism, but  they cover it with language like “white privilege” and “intersectionality”, and justify it with concepts like “systematic racism”.

The most frustrating thing about these people is that they know nothing. They literally know nothing.  They lecture and sermonize about what our government should be doing, when they don’t even know what our government is. If you need a demonstration of this assertion, just ask them ( or yourself if you’re a social justice warrior/ person with stunted emotional and intellectual development ) :

What are the three branches of Government?

Can you name 2 of the rights guaranteed in the First Amendment?

Does the Constitution, and in turn the government, give you your rights?

Why do we have an electoral college?

How does making and passing a law happen, and who are your representatives in Congress?

If you can’t answer these questions, you might just be talking out of your backside when you talk politics. It certainly seems that the ability to rationally and critically think has disappeared……especially among the most recent products of the University System. If the hateful rhetoric and actions of the progressive left, and in turn the politicization of every aspect of our lives doesn’t stop, we are headed for trouble. Historically speaking it’s the kind of trouble that leaves millions of lives destroyed. When you have people calling for systems of government like Socialism and Communism – that together killed over 80 million people in the 20th century alone – while tearing down the concepts of Individual Liberty, Capitalism and Meritocracy – that have elevated more people than anything else in the history of the world – you have a serious problem indeed.

There are people, posers in positions of power within media and government, who have created an army of monsters because they lost an election, and now it has grown out of control. Was the Vegas shooter one of these monsters, like the Virginia shooter? I’ll make the prediction here, and I’d bet dollars to donuts on it…….I think he was. I think he was radicalized by the Media and the Left, and was so absorbed by his hate that he took action. And sadly, instead of stepping back and doing some self examination……..instead of contemplating the results of this shameless and shallow politicization of society in exchange for power and control…….they are stepping over bodies to get in front of the cameras. Because it’s not their fault……….it’s yours for rejecting them. Besides, they have more monsters to make.

Tuesday Thoughts

In the wake of the awful events that unfolded over the weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada, I have seen and heard much pontificating, and read many statements and news briefs decrying not the actions of a madman, but the tools of his insane act.

I have seen and heard the inappropriate comments of those on the left in Media and Government calling for a knee-jerk response……that if implemented would not stop an attack like this in the future, as each and every act committed by Stephen Paddock was already against the law, illegal, and thus not preventable by legislative action.

With that said I have come to this conclusion:

Removing an instrument of evil……………… does not remove the evil itself.

Instead of cashing in on the emotional after effect of something like the Vegas Massacre and using it for cheap political gain, as in the case of Hillary Clinton and Jimmy Kimmel……. is there anyone who can articulate a contrary response or thought to my aforementioned statement?

Is there anyone out there who can logically and seriously contradict my conclusion? I really want to know, and I am open to any and all serious arguments and points. What are your thoughts?

I truly feel for the victims and families of those lost in the horror that occurred last weekend……….let’s honor them with serious and thoughtful discussion instead of theatrics and insults.

 

 

 

The Tears of a Clown

Just when I thought that there were few liberties left that the progressive left, and their avatar in the White House, could take from us…… The King Speaks. Oh, and just when I thought we could not look any weaker at home and abroad…..here comes the tears.  Tears. Not tears for murdered Americans at the hands of illegal aliens, or tears for the victims of Islamic terror that his State Department allowed into the country, or tears for the murdered Americans at the embassy in Libya, but tears for the left’s favorite champion…..” The Children”. What an absolute tool. And let’s not forget to roll out Ole’ Gabby Giffords, whose tragic fate is now a photo op and excuse to steal my liberty through yet another series of illegal executive actions.

The reason congress hasn’t passed a repeal of our second amendment right is because they wouldn’t be able to pass it, and every stooge that supported such a bill would be tossed out in their next election. I do not consent to the over 4000 new illegal regulations coming from the EPA and the State Department in the Emperor’s final year. This illegal and unconstitutional gun grab is just the beginning. Frankly I’m sick and tired of our Nation’s crime statistics being compared to the failed little fiefdoms of Europe. We are a single nation that occupies almost an entire continent, with over 375 million people,  not a country of 20-30 million that’s 800 miles across like many European countries. Let them have their Islamic invasion, unarmed populace, and socialist/communist claptrap. We were once great because of our differences and individual rights……oh well, now we’re just another bunch of idiots that need to be led by a tyrannical dictator. Why did we go to war to get rid of Hitler just to have our own dictator 70 years later? Oh yes…..Germany did this prior to World War 2 as well.

We are witnessing a coup taking place in an accelerated fashion. Nothing that is being proposed by Barry will stop one single criminal shooting. This is a move to destroy what the left thinks is the easiest part of our Bill of Rights to attack…..the 2nd Amendment.

I must stress that you not take my word for it. Please look up exactly what is in these executive orders. I say this because there is no longer a viable press in our country, only varying degrees of progressive cheerleading (including Fox). I have not been able to find ONE SINGLE INSTANCE of critical examination of these actions, or the supposed benefits of them. How does turning Grandpa into a criminal for willing you his hunting rifle stop crime? How does preventing the law abiding citizen from owning a gun stop crime? Do you think the dozen or so murders in Chicago every weekend are committed with legally purchased firearms? Or how about that fact that this very administration supplied illegal weapons to Mexican Cartels that were used to murder Americans? Or that Obama’s State Department approved the visa for Tashfin Malik…….who should have never been allowed into this country by any reasonable standard? How about the fact that we can’t close our borders or stop importing Syrian ISIS “refugees”?

Are you not troubled by some of the specifics about these actions? For instance, that if your Doctor reports you as unstable or suffering from a “mental illness” you lose your 2nd amendment rights? Are you taking anti-depressants? Have you, or your children, been taking, or currently taking ADHD medications? Do you know that this qualifies you as forever mentally unstable in the eyes of the government? Do you know someone who would maliciously report you as unstable to the authorities? Are you so ignorant of history that you fail to realize this is how communist and fascist nations begin the conquering of their populations?

I think that this is the first of our rights that will be purposely dissolved this year. You see, to the people who unjustly rule over us, our rights are only guaranteed when they politically agree with them. Otherwise, not so much. We are seeing the “transformation” that so many voted for, and it’s only just begun. This is what the fall of a civilization looks like, and we are living the last chance to avert it……if it can be averted at all.
